Nick Wollschlager serves as the Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) for FDOT District 4, supporting approximately 57 law enforcement agencies across five Southeast Florida counties to strengthen and enhance traffic enforcement and engagement initiatives. His responsibilities include facilitating and increasing law enforcement participation in high-visibility campaigns such as Click It or Ticket, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, and Operation Southern Slow Down. He coordinates press conferences and public safety events, conducts training sessions and Local Area Network (LAN) meetings, assists agencies in securing and managing traffic safety grants, and manages the exchange of critical information, including officer training, crash data and trends, checkpoint planning, and legal updates. He also evaluates law enforcement contributions to traffic safety initiatives, policies, education efforts, and enforcement activities through the Florida Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Challenge.

 

Additionally, Nick serves on the Florida Occupant Protection Coalition and supports Community Traffic Safety Teams (CTSTs) throughout the district.
