About the District 6 Law Enforcement Liaison:

Shaun VanBeber has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and has served with the Florida Law Enforcement Liaison Program since 2009. As the District 6 Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL), Shaun supports approximately 40 law enforcement agencies across Monroe and Miami-Dade counties to strengthen and enhance traffic safety initiatives. He is responsible for promoting and implementing high-visibility enforcement campaigns, coordinating public safety and press events, leading training sessions and Local Area Network (LAN) meetings, and providing guidance to agencies in securing and managing traffic safety grants. He also facilitates the exchange of critical information, including officer training, crash data and trends, checkpoint planning, and legal updates. Additionally, Shaun coordinates the Florida Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Challenge and evaluates agency contributions to traffic safety through policies, education, and enforcement.

Shaun actively serves on the Florida Motorcycle Safety Coalition and provides support to Community Traffic Safety Teams (CTSTs) across the district.
