Each of the seven Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) districts is supported by a full-time Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) who works directly with agencies to strengthen and advance traffic safety initiatives. LELs promote and implement high-visibility enforcement campaigns, coordinate public safety and press events, lead training sessions and Local Area Network (LAN) meetings, and assist agencies with securing and managing traffic safety grants. They also facilitate the exchange of critical information, including officer training, crash data and trends, checkpoint planning, and legal updates. Additionally, they coordinate the Florida Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Challenge.

The Florida LEL Team consists of experienced law enforcement professionals with more than 200 years of combined experience. Learn more about your district’s LEL and get in touch by clicking their profile below.
