The Coordinator of the Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) Progam is responsible for operational
planning and execution of the program. TheCoordinator supports the LEL team members and local law enforcement to
help facilitate and pass on traffic safety information such as crash data, traffic safety training opportunities, DUI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and legal updates. The LEL team meets regularly
to plan, review, evaluate, and produce traffic safety meetings and discuss local traffic safety issues within each team member's coverage area. This includes implementation of the Florida Department
of Transportation (FDOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) traffic safety initiatives such as Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
