The District 2 Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) is responsible for approximately 52 law enforcement agencies in Alachua County, Baker County, Bradford County, Clay County, Columbia County, Dixie County, Duval County, Gilchrist County, Hamilton County, Lafayette County, Levy County, Madison County, Nassau County, Putnam County, St. John's County, Suwannee County, Taylor County and Union County. The District 2 LEL coordinates with members of local law enforcement to help facilitate and pass on traffic safety information such as crash data, traffic safety training opportunities, DUI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and legal updates. The District 2 meets quarterly during traffic safety meetings to discuss local traffic safety issues which include implementation of the Florida Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations traffic safety initiatives such as Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
