The District 3 Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) is responsible for approximately 55 law enforcement agencies in the Florida Panhandle. This
includes agencies in Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsen, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington Counties. The District 3 LEL
assists and supports local law enforcement agencies with their traffic safety and enforcement efforts, conducts training presentations, and coordinates with agencies to help facilitate and pass on
traffic safety information such as crash data, traffic safety training opportunities, DUI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and legal updates. The District meets quarterly during traffic safety
meetings to discuss local traffic safety issues which include implementation of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) traffic
safety initiatives such as Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
